Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Billing and Insurance Follow-Up Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing hospital and physician billing, handling insurance claims, and ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding payments. Key Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of medical claims efficiently and accurately.
Follow up with insurance providers to determine claim status and ensure timely reimbursement.
Identify, research, and resolve denied or delayed claims, including filing appeals when necessary.
Prepare and send correspondence to payers as needed to support claims resolution.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for all account activity in a timely manner.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to optimize billing and collections processes.
Qualifications:
Experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, including billing and insurance follow-up.
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Tricare, and Workers' Compensation payers.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (ability to read, write, and speak fluently in both languages).
Working knowledge of managed care policies and insurance regulations.
Familiarity with Anesthesia billing is a plus but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to navigate multiple client systems efficiently.

Education & Experience:
Prior experience in medical billing, insurance follow-up, or related healthcare revenue cycle roles required.
Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards.
Experience using automated dialer systems and other relevant billing software preferred.
