Starting Salary: Starting salary is $47,659 (which is Bachelors Step 0)                                                              (Final compensation based on experience and degree).

What You’ll Do

• Deliver Engaging, Rigorous Instruction

  • Teach a college-preparatory science curriculum aligned to Common Core, Tennessee State Standards, and STEM Prep benchmarks .

  • Use inquiry-based and hands-on learning strategies to deepen students’ understanding of chemistry and scientific principles .

• Differentiate for All Learners

  • Implement ELL and Exceptional Education (EE) accommodations to ensure all students thrive in the classroom .

  • Create a learning environment that is inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive .

• Foster a Culture of Excellence

  • Build a structured, supportive, and motivating classroom that inspires students to ask questions, think critically, and engage deeply with content .

  • Develop strong relationships with students, families, and the community to support student learning and success.

• Collaborate & Grow

  • Work alongside a high-performing team of educators to continuously reflect, improve, and share best practices .

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and coaching to refine instructional strategies and leadership skills.

• Support Student Achievement Beyond the Classroom

  • Serve as a mentor and role model , fostering academic confidence, curiosity, and resilience .

  • Administer state assessments and track student progress toward ambitious academic goals.

What You Bring

• A Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Science, Chemistry, or Education , with a Tennessee Teaching License (endorsement in Science).

• Deep content knowledge in Chemistry and a passion for bringing scientific concepts to life for students .

• A growth mindset , with the ability to reflect, adapt, and implement best practices to drive student achievement.
