We are actively hiring a Chinese Linguist to join our team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.

• Linguist will read, triage, review, summarize and translate large amount of data in source-language
• The linguist will conduct supplementary research from foreign language sources on equipment and technologies identified.
• The   linguist should have familiarity with tasking, data collection, and targeting.
• Linguist should either be a Native speaker, or a level 4 in reading.
• Must be able to get along in a diverse team in a fast-paced environment with high stakes outcomes.
• Work will be performed during ordinary hours (e.g., 8-5) in an ordinary work week (Monday-Friday).

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree desired
• Translation into English
• Collection from published, online and broadcast media
• Monitoring published, online and broadcast media while identifying relevant content
• Selection
• Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
• Translation Related Services
• Writing reports

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Quality Control of language products
• Collection, Monitoring, scanning, Selection, Terminology Management, Workflow, Writing Analysis, Writing Reports
• Subject Matter Expertise in Counterproliferation, Geospatial, Military, and Science and Technology areas of focus
