Job Title: Microsoft Access Specialist Job Description Seeking a skilled Microsoft Access Database Developer to design and implement a user-friendly training and certification tracking system. This role is essential to modernizing how employee qualifications are managed, especially with the onboarding of new hires. Responsibilities + Develop a Microsoft Access database from scratch to track training and certifications for over 165 employees. + Create and manage training profiles for new hires, including scheduling and tracking 90-day onboarding programs. + Track multi-week, hands-on training modules, including sign-offs, testing, and manual reviews. + Generate reports on training status, certification levels, and workforce readiness by machine or role. + Maintain manual updates based on completed training and certifications. + Ensure the system is intuitive and accessible for supervisors, managers, and clerical staff. + Train HR staff on database use and reporting functions. + Collaborate with IT to transition from Excel-based logs to the new Access system. Essential Skills + Proven experience in building Microsoft Access databases, including tables, queries, and reports. + Strong data management skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines. + Excellent communication skills for training and collaboration. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in data analysis and reporting. + Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. + Experience with learning management systems (LMS). Work Environment This position is located in an office attached to a production facility, with no requirement to walk the production floor. The role is 100% onsite, offering flexible hours from 8 AM to 5 PM or starting as early as 6 AM. It is a full-time, project-based temporary role expected to last one to two months, with the potential for extension based on project needs. The role is very independent, reporting to the Senior HR Manager, and will be the sole focus on this project. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.00/hr.
