Job Description
This position is responsible for the management, strategy and execution of IT applications and infrastructure for the organization. The Information Technology Director is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions at all Peak locations. This includes directing all IT operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and the development of new technical solutions. The IT Director will also be responsible for overseeing technical projects in alignment with organizational goals.
Essential Functions:
- Direct all business application implementations including ERP, CRM, and business intelligence and data warehousing.
- Proficiency in EPICOR Required.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Power BI, Fabric, and Azure are preferred.
- Implements appropriate IT security measures for prevention, detection, and response.
- Ensures business continuity by supporting and maintaining overall infrastructure health.
- Experience maintaining both on-prem and 3rd party data center environments is preferred.
- VMware experience is preferred.
- Strategic technology leadership.
- Develop and executes a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company's business goals.
- Identifies and implements technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support growth.
- Ensures adherence to data privacy compliance requirements. (e.g., PCI, CCPA)
- Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions.
- Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
- Produces detailed timeline for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status.
- Direct and prioritizes the workload of team.
- Reviews all designs, code and unit test plans where applicable.
- Reviews, understands, and addresses all business requirements with Leadership team, sub teams, and other departments prior to implementing the technical solution.
- Participates in all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
- Manages IT service provider relationships and performance.
- Represents the IT function at customer review meetings when appropriate.
- Directs education programs for her/his staff and the organization as required.
- Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting.
- Coordinates IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary.
- Oversees departmental finances, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Implement policies that are in line with overall business strategy.
- Research and recommend new products.
- Lead efforts to improve IT processes.
- Maintains cyber security controls framework for the company (e.g. CIS Controls, NIST).
- Maintains a strong IT infrastructure in areas such as servers, network infrastructure, tele-communications, mobile, and user help desk support.
Business Planning:
- In partnership with the Leadership Team and IT team, prepare the business plan budgets, make capital spending recommendations, manufacturing technologies and innovation recommendations, and IT improvement recommendations and requirements.
- With the CEO, review and direct the analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Effectively integrate functions, systems and work activities throughout the organization.
- Continual improvement of key performance areas.
- Work with the Controller & CFO to meet or exceed budgets/work on Capital projects, lean projects, and overall financial wellness within IT department.
Corporate Citizenship:
- Create plans that align with the overall goals of the company and address related responsibilities.
- Work with corporate initiatives in a supporting or leading role, e.g. quality, safety, safety, delivery, accounting, information technology, sales, and facilities.
- Ensure that rules and regulations are handled consistently and equitably within the IT department.
- Lead, manage, work directly with all employees to create valuable working relationships that help the organization meet goals.

Work Environment:
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some time on the production floor could be required. This would require the ability to lift, climb ladders, and bend or standing for long periods of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Given the nature of IT, there are expectations that on occasion performance of this leadership role will require night or weekend work to support oversight of technology changes, or to respond to unexpected incidents such as security or power disruption.
Travel:
This position requires up to 40% travel. Travel will include training with teams.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of Leadership team experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Customer service focus – understand the need, solve problems, and respond in an efficient manner.
- Organizational skills – ability to manage time and multi-task.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications required; ability to navigate internal software programs will be needed after hire.
- Proficiency in Epicor required.
