Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transportation Analyst to manage cross-border freight operations and support real-time logistics issue resolution. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth movement of containers across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with a strong focus on data analysis, operational efficiency, and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Cross-Border Freight Management: Oversee the movement of goods across international borders (U.S.-Canada-Mexico), ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
+ Drayage Operations: Coordinate short-haul trucking from ports or border crossings to fulfillment centers or warehouses.
+ Real-Time Issue Resolution: Serve as the central point of contact for resolving transportation issues involving carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
+ Container Tracking: Monitor and track containers within your assigned region using Excel, portals, and internal tools.
+ Data Visibility: Ensure load visibility on internal apps and platforms.
+ Disruption Management: Identify and manage disruptions using internal portals and communication tools.
+ Reporting & Analysis: Run reports to investigate delays (e.g., idle containers), and present findings to stakeholders.
+ Stakeholder Communication: Verbally report on regional logistics activities and delays; lead deep-dive sessions ("bridges") to analyze container issues.
+ Data Handling: Aggregate and analyze data using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs); experience with MS Access and SQL is a plus.
+ Documentation & Communication: Communicate effectively via Chime, Slack, email, and during bridge calls.
+ Independent Workload Management: Manage a personal book of business and assigned volume with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
+ Experience in transportation, manufacturing, customer service, or distribution environments.
+ Strong data management and quality control skills.
+ Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs); MS Access and SQL experience preferred.
+ Demonstrated ability to use data to identify root causes and drive process improvements.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Self-starter with a passion for data and a keen eye for trends and anomalies.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
