Job Description

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Floor Manager is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, anticipating and delivering guests’ needs.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Direct functions of night operations management and planning in conjunction with the Director of Operations.
  • Lead by example by inspiring your team to achieve and exceed targets to includes, but not limited to guest relations, team member relations, costs and efficiencies, and sales and revenue.
  • Analyze the night operations needs including, but not limited to, staffing, forecasting, controlling and supervising.
  • Oversee the nighttime security staff by directing and assigning responsibilities as needed.
  • Assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the night operations.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures.
  • Partner with the Director of Operations and handyman to ensure that the property is maintained.
  • Ensure all team members on the night shift are trained in their positions to maximize service, production and efficiency.
  • Administer misconduct, documented coaching, and records of conversation to hold team members accountable to Pretty Ricky's policies and standards.
  • Own the guest experience on the night shift; including, but not limited to greeting VIP arrivals and handling all guest incidents.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations
  • Be an ambassador for Pretty Ricky's by meeting and exceeding Pretty Ricky's core objectives and values.
  • Think and act like an owner.
  • Conduct meetings and coordinate with staff members to ensure that all night operations are leading toward guest satisfaction, maximizing profit and productivity.
  • Work with Events Managers and Director of Operations to satisfy all special group requests.
  • Maintains clean and excellent condition of all Pretty Ricky's spaces.
  • Communicate with neighboring building and resolve any related issues that may arise during the night.
  • Recognize repeat guests and build/maintain relationships with them.
  • Ensure sanitation fundamentals and Health Department requirements that are set forth by Pretty Ricky's, local, state and federal regulations are in compliance.
  • Protect the name of the bar and Pretty Ricky's and ensure that no actions are taken within, or in the name of, the bar that could bring Pretty Ricky's into disrepute.
  • Take action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of team members, guests and property. Respond swiftly and effectively in any emergency or safety situations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of four years’ experience in a leadership role
  • A comprehensive, working knowledge of the hospitality business
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and late hours when necessary.
  • Have an upbeat, energetic, authentic and professional attitude at all times.
  • Know how to participate in a team environment and assist other departments when needed, providing lateral service.
