Job Description

Framing Carpenter Location Grand Rapids, MI (Westside Connection area) :

Responsibilities:

Analyzing and understanding blueprints to determine structural framework and how to construct it.
Attaching building materials using nails, screws, nuts, and bolts per building codes.
Installing window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, and exterior trim using a carpenter's level and laser levels.
Erecting temporary structures such as scaffolds and safety using ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
Studying specifications in blueprints or building plans to prepare project layout and determining dimensions and materials required.
Accurately measuring, cutting, and shaping lumber, wood, and other building materials.
Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Examining building materials to identify any defects.
Providing excellent customer service.

Education/Experience:

High School diploma with valid driver's license
No previous experience necessary
On the job training - ambitious and willing to learn

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
