Pediatric Music Therapist (Contracted Position)

Employment Type: Contract Client Load: 25-35 clients per week

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Music Therapist to provide individual and group music therapy sessions for children in a clinical setting. The therapist will use music-based interventions to support developmental, emotional, and social growth in pediatric clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine therapeutic needs and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based music therapy techniques.
• Facilitate music therapy sessions that promote communication, motor skills, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and therapy sessions.
• Provide education and support to families regarding the benefits of music therapy.
• Stay updated on best practices and research in pediatric music therapy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy.
• Board Certification (MT-BC) required.
• Experience working with pediatric populations in a clinical setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Contract Details:

• Flexible scheduling based on client needs.
• Compensation based on session rates or hourly pay .
