This position focuses on operating and maintaining sandblasting equipment to remove color from welding, paint, dirt, grease, and other built-up materials from surfaces. You'll be responsible for equipment preparation, material handling, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining sandblasting equipment
• Managing abrasive materials (replacing and loading sand)
• Operating blasting equipment for welding color removal
• Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces
• Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment
• Load and unload the blast cabinet
• Assist with painting or coating as needed
• Apply and remove non-skid materials as needed
• Heavy equipment handling and setup
• Workspace cleaning with new equipment
• Additional duties as needed

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Previous sandblasting experience or training
• Mechanical aptitude is highly valued
• Experience with power tools, air tools, and hand tools
• Experience working with or removing heavy metals a plus
• Physical stamina to lift, carry, and set up heavy equipment
• Flexible schedule
• Familiarity with power tools
