The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the hotel guests and colleagues.  This person will follow safety and security standards by patrolling and observing in/around the building, monitoring security cameras, completing incident reports, responding to emergencies, and other items as required.  We are looking for someone to work primarily Sunday and Monday between 11:30pm-7:30am.

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00, increasing to $23.50 after six months.  There is an additional $1.00 paid per hour between 11:30pm-7:00am.

Qualifications

  • Previous security experience strongly preferred and SPO (Special Police Officer) license (or ability to obtain one)
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
  • Proficient in basic computer skills

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to remain calm and act with care in potentially stressful situations
