Job Description

Process Sciences Team supports biologics manufacturing in the following areas: Upstream Sciences, Downstream Sciences, Data Analytics, Manufacturing Support, Process Validation and Process Solutions

Job Description

• Lead a team of 40-60 analysts, including group leaders and supervisors, in serving our client within Process Sciences
• Lead a team involved in multiple scopes of work across the Process Sciences department including Upstream Sciences, Downstream Sciences, Data Analytics, Manufacturing Support, Process Validation and Process Solutions oversight.
• Lead a team of group leaders and trainers in laboratory-Scale Cell Culture studies including characterization of cell banks and manufacturing processes
• Develop team members through operational excellence and standardization of processes
• Cultivate teamwork and build continued morale through engaging and hands on leadership.
• Coordinate with a broader scientific team to align on lab activities and process. 
• Comply with all GxP standards, GHS policies, and current written procedures and protocols. 
• Work in a fast-paced lab environment.
• Balance multiple projects and tasks, prioritize and execute them independently, while communicating with all impacted parties. 
• Lead teams, schedules, and train employees in client environment
• Organize technical resources and staff to accomplish client goals within given deadlines
• Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
• Ensure coverage and maximizes performance through management operating system to gain efficiencies
• Stays current science and technology and consults knowledgeably with clients

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

• Scientific background with hands on Biologics Process Science experience including Cell Banking, Production, Purification or related manufacturing technologies
• Strong dynamic leadership skills
• Demonstrate strong client service skills, teamwork, project management and collaboration
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Minimum

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, pharmaceutical science, or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience
• 4+ years of Process Sciences and or cell banking work
• 4+ years of Leadership experience
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Working schedule will be Mon-Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply.
